Is this a scam?

Trying to sell an item of furniture on FB.
Someone has messaged, made an offer and I accepted.
He got my PayPal address, said he’d sent the money - no money had come through.
Got an email in my junk folder saying that the man had sent from a business account, and that if he sends another £100 it will upgrade my account to be able to receive it. I would then send that money back to him.

There is nothing on my PayPal app (or the website) about this - no messages about it at all, just an email to my junk folder from paypalcustomservices email address.

He is annoyed that I’m not immediately going ahead with this.

This is dodgy right?

Yup, in general if you have to ask, it's a scam!

Feeling a bit paranoid now and have changed my PayPal password. Is there anything else I should do?

It's called an 'overpayment scam'. If you google it you can see how it works

Yep scam
You "repay" and the transaaction never happen.

If you have time you can reply back that you paid it to his acxount and have just realised the x should have been a c and will have to contact paypal to get the money back but that you will keep him updated ......

I’ve blocked him and forwarded the email to PayPal.
