I’m overweight, I drink too much, I eat badly, I always feel rubbish and so to cheer myself up the cycle continues.

As I hurtle into my late 40s I don’t want to feel shit all the time anymore.

But I don’t know where to start…..if I try and exercise I get all sweaty and exhausted after a minute and give up. I get bored in the evenings and so I have a glass of wine etc etc….

I just want to wake up with the motivation to lead a healthier life. How do I get to this!!!!!!

If you try and change everything about yourself in one go, it will last for a few days or maybe weeks. Then you go back to the old ways.

Start small with one or two things. Eat one additional fruit/veg a day, and go out for at least a half hour walk every day. You don't have to walk far, just get out in the fresh air and stay on your feet.

It takes a good month to build a habit. So make these little improvements for at least that amount of time and then pick the next thing you want to change. At the end of the day, only you can make these changes for yourself.
