Royal mail redelivery

Tried calling royal mail but there wait time was 30 mins counting and I have had to hang up as I needed to go out.

They tried to deliver my parcel on Sat and i missed it by 20 mins. Booked a redelivery for tomorrow (Tuesday) and arranged to definitely be in all day to wait for it so I wouldn't miss it again.

They have tried redelivering this morning while I was coming home from school run. Tried to book a redelivery and it is now saying Wednesday. I can't be in the rest of the week which is why I booked the redelivery for tomorrow not for today or later in the week. I can't get to the office in it's very limited opening times as by the time I get there after the school run it's closed. (only open 8-10 every day). I had to sign up to the no neighbours thing as they kept delivering it to someone who just never answered the door despite being in for days on end.

Do you think they will attempt redelivery tomorrow like I booked? This parcel is for a present and I need it. 😩

Can you arrange for it to be redelivered to a post office instead? I think they charge 50p or something for that, but then you can go and collect it.

Ah ok that's a good idea I didn't realise you could do that. I will see if it shows up tomorrow and if not redeliver to the post office :)

Usually, on the tracking, it gives the option to arrange a different address, so try the PO as the address.

RM are pretty rubbish these days. Last week I had a message to say a parcel would be delivered between 10.39 and 1.39. It wasn’t. Then another one to say it would be delivered the next day between the same times. It turned up at 2.30. This morning we had a delivery with no warning at 7am.

This happened to me last week...they tried to deliver on the Monday when I am in the office. The card said they would try again the next working day unless I booked a redelivery. Since I also work in the office on a Tuesday, I went online and booked redelivery for Wednesday when I would be home.
They ignored it and came on Tuesday when I wasn't home. Left another card saying I needed to book redelivery online.
I thought because I'd already booked redelivery for Wed that it would come the next day but no joy. I went online and rebooked it for Friday which was the first available date. Bloody annoying!! As others said, I think there is an option to have it delivered nearby (maybe a workplace?) or to local post office if that's better for you.
