One due Friday one due Thursday, seperate orders, seperate retail companies.

Both said out for delivery, then there's been a delay, we will deliver next day but tracking not updated at all since. Nothing on Friday or Saturday for either

Am panicking as he starts school tomorrow and has nothing to put on his feet.

I know they have a reputation for being rubbish but I've just moved and at previous address they were fantastic, the driver was amazing.

Just venting as I can't go out and buy him replacement shoes for a few days worth of school.

I hope they turn up 😩

Amazon same day delivery?

KenAdams · 04/09/2023 07:19

You've left it really late to get them delivered. I get waiting to the end but that's a week or two, not the working day before.

You'll have to grab some supermarket shoes this morning and use them as a spare pair for the rest of the term if needed.

I'm on a low budget so I've been buying each kid something each week when I get money, a blazer, trousers and shirt etc.

I had to wait till I got my child benefit to buy shoes and trainers as they're expensive.

Just send him in with any shoes on his feet and email school to tell them delivery hasn't arrived and screenshot the delivery information.

Any decent understanding school will get that families are feeling the pinch at the moment and can't bulk buy expensive inform.

This is also why I wish they'd just let school kids wear trouser, polo and jumper and black trainers.

They're at school to learn. It shouldn't be affecting families budgets to wear unnecessary blazers etc.

MariaVT65 · 04/09/2023 07:33

I’d just send him in any other shoes or trainers he has, with a note apologising, maybe proof of your order.

If the school kicks off and sends him home, they are petty dickheads.

Hellocatshome · 04/09/2023 07:34

You did remember to change the delivery address to your new address didn't you?

Yes, it's coming to our new address :)

He's high-school and they're very strict about stuff. His old ones were tight so I binned them.

If they don't turn up today I'll have to write a note.

I feel daft, I should have bought the shoes last month but I did blazers and PE kit with my last payment as they always sell out towards end of holidays.

Ask on your local Facebook group - explain what’s happened and ask if anyone has any old ones in that size you can have. I’m sure someone will help.

MariaVT65 · 04/09/2023 08:20

Honestly I wouldn’t worry about it. Schools really need to get over themselves. As long as they are safe and comfortable, that’s all that should matter. Having different shoes for one day won’t impact his behaviour or education.

I say this as someone whose little boy needs orthotic insoles for his shoes, meaning his schools will have to put up with any shoe or trainer I can find where I can easily take the existing insoles out. And it will be tough tits for them if they don’t like it 😁

Really hate evri. I wish we had the option at checkout to not use them

anunlikelyseahorse · 04/09/2023 11:15

No chance of them turning up, at least not in time for school, probably not in the next week, and possibly not at all.
Evri, are absolutely shite, I honestly don't know why companies use them anymore. I now won't order anything if it's Evri who'll deliver. I had a nightmare with them, luckily all the various emails sent from them contradicted each other, and after a endless emails to the company concerned I got a refund....but never, ever again.

I've honestly always had the opposite experience. For years I've had absolutely no problems with them. Never late, driver was lovely. Never a missing parcel.

Then moved and 2 parcels gone off radar!
