Gold jewellery is overrated

Coffee is foul

McDonald's food is overrated,expensive and oily shite (I work there-we get a free meal on shift and I'd rather eat my own liver)

Brand named stuff is a waste of money

Nicholas Lyndhurst is a better actor than David Jason in ofah (watched ofah many many times)

Cassandra trotter is a very wooden actress-her and rodders should never have got married-they where very unsuited as a couple

Frasier isn’t as good as it thinks it is. Whoever wrote Daphne’s dialogue had clearly never met an English person.

The West Wing is hokey, sentimental crap.

The Cohen brothers’ films are vile and disturbing. See also Quentin Tarantino.

Rod Stewart had a cracking voice back in the day.

I can’t stand Margolyes (disgusting), Attenborough (hypocrite) or Stephen Fry (pompous misogynist).

Friendships aren't that hard and I don't get the drama about them. I blame 'friends are the new family' propaganda that took hold in the SATC/Friends years which implied that your friendships have to be enmeshed, high maintenance and omnipresent.

The best accents are Brum and Scouse.

I hate women's sport because it doubles the amount of sport on TV. If it replaced men's sport on TV that would be fine.

Spiders should be killed not taken for a walk outside so that they can get together with other evicted spiders and form a pack and then plan a home invasion.

I hoover spiders. Definitely off to hell because there was a thread here not long ago where a woman said the man she was dating killed a spider and everyone told her to get rid of him, he’s cruel, he should have kissed the spider and built it a house. Insane.

Winter is more enjoyable than Summer, mostly cos once the weather gets bad ironically everyone stops complaining about it.

Drag shows are not a form of entertainment, just men playing dress up and making fools of themselves.

Fire pits are stupid and a waste of space and time.

Miriam Margolyes in just a crass woman who either isn't very bright or just pretends to be not very bright, either one as bad as the other.

Anytime I've travelled outside Europe I think everything is a but shit, I've enjoyed the experience but life and society in Europe is far superior to the places I've been and we are lucky to be here.

Crossed breed/mixed breed dogs should be called mongrels and not the ridiculous names such as Labradoodle, Cockerpoo, Jug, Goldendoodle, Cavachon etc.

Food should never be served on anything other than a plate/bowl. Slates and slabs of wood are dirty and ridiculous.

I totally agree with this. When I have a hangover I am in bed! There is no way I could go for a run!

(thankfully I only get a hangover about three times a decade because I know how lightweight I am!)

I hate the heat. The country isn't made for it. This summer has been a blessing and I'm pissed off about the coming 'heatwave'. It had its chance.

A bunch of flowers is an awful gift. You put them in a vase, watch them die slowly then bin them.

Yes, very correct. A plant in a pot is a lovely gift - you are giving somebody a living organism as a lovely present. Flowers that have been ripped out of the ground and thus have started dying are not a lovely gift - you're literally saying "Here, I saw something beautiful and killed it deliberately to give it to you".

Concerts where you have to stand up are a rip off. Give me a seat!

Same with ones where they sell so many tickets that most people there can only see the artist on a huge screen. Might as well just watch it at home on telly/YouTube, then. Especially the people who pay a lot for tickets and then spend all their time there filming what's on the screen with their phone!
