Long long long post
Okay so this isn’t relationship based but I’m beyond annoyed at my 19 year old son and he seems to think I’m the petty one and no other mothers act like I do so here it is ….
Back story my son seemed to think that 35 pound a week board was a bit harsh as he doesn’t use anything in the house he refuses to eat at our meal times and thinks because he doesn’t eat the food he shouldn’t pay board ….baring in mind him and his girlfriend use everything in my home like everything right down to the last bit of milk all of which he states he doesn’t use 🤷🏻‍♀️ he offered 10 pound a week as his priority bills ( his phone, his catalog, credit card and Clearpay ) cost him too much I refused the £10 and said it was an insult and one day he will understand that is one issue as he hasn’t paid a single penny in about 8 months so kinda of an old one he won’t even buy a pack of toilet rolls if they run out he texts me to get some 🤬 anyways of late he started bringing his girlfriend to ours making noise till 3am he brought her without asking first and every night it was constantly keeping my full house awake my daughter who has college and my partner who sleeps occasionally who has to be up at 5am for work so after asking politely and telling him I lost my rag and told him no visitors after 12pm and she could sleep 2 nights as long as he asked first he completely disregards them rules and we are constantly at logger heads and tonight he brings a random boy into our home at 12.30 all of us are in bed he them talked so loud he woke everyone up again I went through and said are you taking the mick to be greeted by his friend who I had no idea was there my son replied he is just waiting for an Uber then going I hit the roof he then continued the noise till 1.20 am I’m raging and he doesn’t understand why I would be as I keep pointing out it’s my home I pay the bills at least have a little respect I wouldn’t of dreamed doing something like this to my parents but I’m his mam and I feel bad especially when he tells me no other mams are like this please help me out

You need some rules and some consequences. He's treating you and the rest of the household with contempt. You are not a petty parent and letting him get away with this will do him no favours in the long term. He is not the victim here. Set some expectations one of which would be not telling you how petty you are. Why is a comment like that making you doubt yourself? You know he's being completely unreasonable.

You can evict him. A dose of reality might be what he needs.

Just NO.

The inconsiderate, rude shit needs to move out. He needs to house share and be trained by house mates (like puppies with litter mates)

see how far his £10 gets him.
