Toothache

I was wondering if any dentists could interpret my X-ray. Having had pain on left side went to two different dentist both private and telling me different things, I had a decay under a previous root canal that dentist x cleaned up and will do a new crown and she said I have a hole in the Top Wisdom tooth that she will fill. Dentist y said wisdom tooth are not fully out and are impacted (dentist x said fully out and not impacted) dentist x also said the pain will go once this is corrected. Had the decay removed last week and pain is still there. Posting x Ray of top and bottom teeth for advice

I'm afraid you can't see all of the top wisdom tooth so x rays are not much use. However lower wisdom tooth may well be impacted and not fully out but x Ray not much use in telling this .

Would a cbct scan be better

Cbct scans are not really used to diagnose decay, and any scan is only of use in conjunction with what you can see in the mouth.
You need to find a dentist you trust and stick with them. There is a saying in dentistry give two dentists the same patient and you will get three different treatment plans. Very often the diagnosis of pain in the mouth can be difficult and sometimes it is a case of eliminating problems one by one until the pain goes .
If you are still having problems seek a dentists advice who can see you in person.
