Eurocamp France recommendations?

Does anyone have any Eurocamp France recommendations?

We are a family of four - one preschooler and one in primary.

I've never been but think the kids would LOVE the freedom / activities (we are big center parcs fans). Ideally looking at France so we can take our car over.

Any recommendations appreciated

We've just arrived in Sylvamar in Labenne with our 7 & 5yo and it seems great for that age, we also enjoyed La Chapelle! There's a thunderstorm here today so the kids have been enjoying the indoor splash park. This is only our fourth eurocamp so don't yet have a favourite, but a few tips... they vary a lot in price, not all have a eurocamp run kids club, but many also have a campsite run club & check the opening/closing dates for the kids clubs as they are often hugh season only.

We have Eurocamped for 12 years now. For little ones, we've loved and returned a couple of times to both Camping Bel in the Vendee and Camping La Baie in Brittany. We drove, but didn't need or use cars there at all.
Prices drop drastically at the end of August so we used to go late.
Both very toddler/small child friendly. We stayed in tents at Bel and caravans at La Baie, both are great.
We've also stayed in the Dordogne and near Bordeaux but those are longer drives.
We found Eurocamp offers brilliant independence, in terms of self catering etc, but support from couriers, for example helping us rebook a cancelled ferry etc.

They can also sort Eurotunbel/ferry for you as part of the deal which is brilliant. Our 2 are teens now, and we've flown recently; a big bonus is that as we booked flights through them too (and transfers!), if the flights were cancelled, we'd be covered and get our money back. Win win.

Can I ask which campsite you stayed at near Bordeaux please?

Yes, Cote d'Argent. We flew, and enjoyed the site a lot. Clean, friendly, good facilities. Beach was stunning. Only downside is no real walkable town nearby. There is a small touristy strip with the usual shops/bars/restaurants near the beach, which is nice enough. It's still the one site (of 7 I think) that my son asks to return to! He loved the waves at the beach!

We did Saint Avit Loisirs in the dordogne at Easter this year and it was fantastic.

Definitely take your car as the on-site food was average (we only had the pizza which was nice enough but you don't want it every meal!) so we could get to the supermarket and to local boulangeries for pastries which were better than the on-site shop ones!

Lots to explore in the region. The caves at Domme are lovely (we did them with a preschooler and a baby!) and lots of pools on site. Only challenge was with the exception of the indoor pool, the outside ones were far too cold for us at Easter - may be much better in the summer when they've had time to warm up!

Kids entertainment was good and it was an easy drive from Calais!

I’d recommend Yelloh especially Camping La Plage in Brittany. It’s a great site, not too big and right on an amazing beach. About 3h drive from St Malo.

We went to Centre Parcs in France and it was brilliant, it’s worth looking at. Cheaper than the U.K. too.
