I see the ad for this all the time in-between my Candy Crush games and I wonder what this stuff is really like. Has anyone bought anything and it turned out to be a bargain or a land of crap?

Nothing and I won't be. It'll be like Shein, Saint & Sofia and all the other junk that's made in sweatshops.

Embelline · 02/09/2023 08:45

It’s a load of cheap crap produced in China like shein etc

JumpingQueen · 02/09/2023 08:45

90% of it is pure cheap and nasty tat!

They also apparently harvest your data but so does just about everyone…

My dc1 has had some success with a water bottle and a jumpers.

VeridicalVagabond · 02/09/2023 08:46

Nothing because I don't want to support what basically amounts to slave labour. The people who produce the cheap tat temu sells live and work in horrendous conditions.

And of course it's cheap garbage that'll fall apart within five minutes.

Fairygoblin · 02/09/2023 09:26

Yes and it's the same stuff you can buy at Amazon but for half the price. Quick free delivery too

stbrandonsboat · 02/09/2023 09:52

Never have, never will.

Nothing either. Agree with the above and also that buying rubbish from China is killing our own high streets. We will have nothing left.

megletthesecond · 02/09/2023 10:01

Nothing. Christ knows who is being forced to make it and how crap it is. See also Shein.

Enthusedeggplant · 02/09/2023 10:02

Nothing for all the reasons above. I try to buy more ethically and that’s easy in comparison. They use forced labour and child labour which should take the shine off a bargain.

rivercobbler · 02/09/2023 11:28

Nothing. Nothing should be that cheap - it must be slaves or virtual slaves. Plus it will probably be bad quality, slownto ship, hard to return.

Also, the app is apparently a security nightmare with access to everything on your phone.

The temu threads never go well , however I find crafting items on there are exactly the same as those I would buy from Amazon , but much cheaper. Free delivery over £10 , delivers in about a week , £5 credit if they deliver late but never have. Twice when I’ve had a small issue they have refunded the same day and told me to keep the item . I use the website rather than app and PayPal . Also if your order drops in price over the next 30 days you can apply for an account credit too .

I use it for items that I can pay double for ( if not more )at craft suppliers / Amazon and it’s exactly the same item , because they buy direct from China in the first place.
