Shared Calendar and iPad/iPhone for family

We all have an iPad and all have an iPhone.

I don’t have an app installed yet, but really want a shared calendar when everyone can see what any one else is doing and can’t moan - is google calendar best? Any gems out there??

We use Google calendar and works very well. Kids can all see/add to it and can easily send invites from my work calendar (Microsoft).

We use time tree, can all edit as and when and has a chat function, works for us.

I use google calendar as mine and then I join other people on the family ones. Have other calendars set op for school holidays per child (at different schools) and then activities per child. All different colours. Sounds complicated but it's easy to keep track of.

The only thing is it's Google. So more data is being collected! I'm thinking of moving over to Proton's calendar because it looks similar, but your data isn't farmed.

Cosi (or is it Cozi?) is meant to be good, I keep meaning to give it a go.

I've been using cozi for years, it's excellent.
