Would you eat this chicken?

Ordered a takeaway for tea with DH and got a chicken burger. The colour of it has completely put me off but DH thinks im being ridiculous and that there's nothing wrong with it.

Would you eat it?

If it doesn’t look right don’t eat it, especially important with chicken.

@LemonDrizzle10 I spat it out 🤮 just don't understand why it has a pink tinge to it, it felt hot but it just didn't look right

Pop it in frying pan/oven for a few minutes if you're not sure? I wouldn't be worried though.

Emetophobe here. It does appear quite pink on the photo but it also looks cooked as you can see the individual meat fibres. It actually looks overcooked from the texture. Raw pink chicken has a jellylike texture and the fibres are less defined. It usually looks more like a white band that blends into pink, and the texture is definitely noticeable when you bite into it.

No I wouldn’t eat it.

It probably was cooked but the pink really put me off 🤢 I'm really fussy with chicken though so there's no way I could have eaten it

Is it a spicy burger? Sometimes the spices make it look a bit pinky, but to be honest it looks fine to me.

I'm the same with chicken. It's probably fine & my DH would say I'm being daft but once I've got the chicken poisoning fear I wouldn't be able to eat it.

I'd go on taste, you can taste if chicken is undercooked.

Which obviously I have tried & lived to tell the tale. Didn't make me sick in slightest.

I will add I don’t eat it (vegan) but DD and DH do so they have burgers and I cook chicken.
