Anyone live in Herefordshire?

We're considering where to retire; we currently live near Southampton.

What do we need to consider? We're 60, we both drive and in reasonable health; we like like rural and we hike a fair bit.

No... no one?

I'm in Worcestershire. I'd recommend it over Herefordshire if you want access to more stuff - I live in a v pretty small town with countryside literally on my doorstep but can be in Worcester in 25 mins or Birmingham city centre in 40 mins by car or 50 via train including driving to the next town for the station first). There's lots to do locally too - societies to join, lovely pubs etc. Herefordshire is very beautiful but a long way to anywhere.
