Talk to me about growth for 3-4 year olds

DS is under a paediatrician for asthma (outgrowing it hooray so it was very brief, a year on an inhaler I think) and it has been noted that he’s quite short and hasn’t grown at all height wise since February.

We have another check up in six months regarding the inhalers and she will measure him again then.

he’s four in Jan, and is currently 97cm tall.

I just wondered if your 3-4 year olds grew steadily or in spurts? I was wondering if he’s due one or whether I should be more worried!

Are you worried about the inhaler having stunted his growth/height? I ask because that's been my biggest worry for my little one when giving him the inhaler. I can't remember how tall he is- I've always just gone by the ages on clothes, eg. 3-4 to make sure he's on target!

If it helps my same age 3 year old is also 97cm (measured him at the theme park a few days ago) and is in mainly 2/3 trousers and shorts (for the waist) and no one has ever commented that he's small to me. People tend to tell me he looks tall!

Measure in six months
Check for coeliac as can cause lack of growth
