Coniston to Beatrix Potter's house

Is there a bus I could take? Going to Coniston with a group of friends next week and I think I'm the only one who will want to go. I'm not driving so if no 8ne else wants to go, I'm on my own.

There is yes. It’s all detailed on the Visit Lake District website. Advisable to pre book a ticket for Hill Top.

It's lovely and worth the visit if you can.

Also, unless it’s changed it has a funny day of the week to be closed - Friday, I think. St Michael’s Mount is closed on Saturday if you are ever down Cornwall way. There are always a few disappointed people

It is gorgeous! You could walk it depending on where you will be near Coniston. There’s a good route from Hawkshead.

Walk it. It’s not a proper fell walk but it is a lovely walk through soft countryside and forest.
