Name my house!

New house's name does not match at all, so has to change but the creative juices aren't flowing!

Some details:

• Cotswold stone
• Medium size so probably a 'Something House'
• No especial stand out garden features
• I rather like romantic sounding names

Help?

A few but nothing I'd want to tie to the house - we're not the most green fingered and can't guarantee they'll be live long term 😂

Does it have a number as well as a name? If not, you can't just change it as that is its official address.

Also, if it's an older house you will probably piss off all the locals if you change it.

But if it's not that old, and has a number as well, how about:
Honeycomb House
Hunig House (old English for honey)
Bright House
The Haven

Cowrie cottage
Or Seashell house

No number so will go through the council to do and pay. Not a terribly old house (60 years or so) and the current name is a rename within that time and a complete misnomer! Like Honeycomb House too 👍🏼

I heard this and I couldn't help think of the movie The Holiday... so maybe that?

You could use something with Miel for a more obscure reference to honey.

I would choose a favourite something - author or character if you love reading for example. Now I have the name Bingley Bottom stuck in my head, though the image of Darcey emerging from a lake!

There is a housing estate near me whose main road is named Dickens Wynd. All the streets leading off it are named after Dickens characters or books (think Chuzzlewit Lane, Copperfield Avenue, that sort of thing. When I go through it I always look to see if anyone has had the common decency to call their house Bleak House but I haven't spotted it yet.

So please will you do this?
