My Tesco have a small section of Christmas stuff including Christmas cupcakes which are dated late Sept. WTF is the point of that?? I understand buying Christmas food over several months to spread the cost, but that only works if the food will still be in date at Christmas!

I'm in Ireland, my Tesco has the 600g of quality street tub (now in paper wrappers) €6.50 and nestle selection boxes 3 for 6 euro.

I volunteer in Barnardo's. They put their Xmas cards and paper out 3 weeks ago.

I was in Home Bargains with my sister last week and complained to her that they had Halloween items out already and said it was ridiculous.
I walked round the corner to find a much larger display of Christmas stuff already there too and was lost for words!

Home Bargins were putting Christmas decorations out in mid August. We went in for the elusive Fry's coffee creams (as recommended on here) but didn't have any. Sainsbury's had mince pies in today.

The Range had some xmas stuff out on Sunday! I know pp have said its always this early but Im not convinced its usually before the kids go back...
Im sure were normally in Sept before it appears!
I love Xmas and browsing xmas stuff but Aug is too early even by my standards!

Agreed. I actually don't mind Christmas stuff coming out "early", but this is a bit early even for me
