Estrodot - Please talk to me about HRT

Hi, Anyone use these patches? If so, how long did yours take to work?

I'm not getting any response from the menopause forum. Is this because they are in such short supply? I feel like I've struck gold or something managing to get a pack (the same chemist is struggling to get more now).

I've been taken off the gel (max dose) as blood tests revealed it wasn't absorbing very effectively. I am taking max dose of estrodot - 100.

I've only been on the patch a week but not noticing any changes yet. Previously, the gel took the edge of the anxiety and palpatations I was experiencing.

Approaching period...a bit of spotting and I feel like I've woken up with flu-like symptoms. Most noticeably aching in arms and legs and even fingers. Hair greasy but only washed my hair yesterday and feeling really tired and drowsy. Mild palpatations.

I have had general blood tests to rule out thyroid issues etc. I thought I might have but nothing flagged up. I am also prone to low iron but taking tablets to counteract this. I am also taking a multi supplement with iron, B12 etc. (only just started this). I also take folate capsules. It feels like this is it, there is nothing more I can do. Yet other women seem to maintain exercise, work and even run marathons. I don't feel I'm making things worse through diet - still drink a bit of alcohol but not much and don't exercise enough (but the thought of exercise with achy knee joints just doesn't inspire me). Are some women just really unlucky with all of this, no matter what?

Some women find absorption varies between the different sorts of patches. Estrodot works well for me but Everol might be better for you. Haven't tried the gel but can tell the difference between the two types of patches in how I feel. HRT is just trial and error isn't it.

Blood tests are notoriously unreliable because our hormones fluctuate so much in the day so if you felt good on the gel I would go back to that!
