DS was born with one testicle. We decided at the time not to tell anyone as we thought that when he got older he might not appreciate people knowing and that it was his business to tell, not ours.
Fast forward 16 years and he's really cool with it but hasn't told anyone himself. He's having surgery for a prosthetic to be implanted in a few months. It should be a quick procedure with a short recovery period but I would imagine he'll need to careful when playing sports.
He doesn't want school or his mates to know. I'm not sure what cover story to give him. Any suggestions? I dont think a general 'recovering from surgery' will wash with a bunch of nosey teens.
