New carpet with a hole

I have just had a new carpet fitted, whilst hoovering up after the fitters left I noticed a hole. This hole is not large and is reparable, and not near where the fitters were using their tools (50p size flap) but it isn't in a place that is hidden by furniture, nor is it in a high traffic area. What should I expect from the shop? They are coming out to assess, Am I within my rights to insist on a replacement or a partial refund with repair? The Internet is telling me that faulty goods require refund or replacement but with carpets it seems a repair is acceptable. This carpet wasn't cheap and it has a fault.

Get the fitters or an assessor back. They can advise on next step. Carpet has to be fit for purpose.

You will regret it if you don’t. Would you buy a blouse with a hole, a skirt with a hole? Of course not. You’d take it back.
Give the company a call. Take pics in case you need them.

I had this a few years ago. My carpet looked like it had been fitted with a spoon and had holes everywhere. They came back to sort it. But it has always look terrible. And like urself has cost us a lot of money. We left a bad review which they asked if we could do anything to help so we would take it down. We said no. The guys who came back to see what they could do were amazed at how bad it had been done.
