May I have a small rant about how no one replies anymore?

Is it just me? I need to liase with PR and comms people for my job- don't want to go into more detail-, and they have all just stopped replying to emails, phone calls, and texts. They can't have been on holiday for two weeks. No Out of Office messages. It's so frustrating chasing people constantly, especially those whose job is to sell their product/push their services.

Everyone seems to have stopped working over summer.

Yes, my work has been a bit like that for the last few weeks. Some people might be on holiday, but those of us without school-age kids still need to get the job done.

Our work is like this because they have switched platform unofficially. So half our staff answer teams messages but not emails and the other half answer emails but don't understand people are using teams. So Sarah will email Jane and never get a response and Jane will teams message Sarah and also never get a response. Sarah and Jane hate each other as a result.

I hate this, it’s a real issue in my job!
Sometimes I’m dealing with quotes for multi-million pound systems with strict deadlines and some idiot forgets to set their out of office and fucks off on holiday for 2 weeks, holding everything up.

I think CP has it. It’s mind-boggling at times, checking email / text / WhatsApp / Teams etc… So much easier when it was just simply email. Or a phone call. And folk not being 9 to 5, as well.

Yes, it's different platforms, WFH, school hols and people just quiet quitting because they are perhaps not paid enough. The perfect storm. Guess I will just have to be patient. Feel like quiet quitting myself and going off for a swim!
