Single/solo parent holidays?

Has anyone here ever been on them? Thoughts? I was so bored and lonely as the only adult of my generation abroad with my kids in the summer I feel that I either need to organise future holidays with friends or go on a single/solo parent holiday so I have some potential company in the evenings and also the kids have other kids to play with. I have seen some online but any personal experience or thoughts would be good.

I haven't but I saw that Tui are doing special offers for 1 parent with child, so they might be good magnets for people in a similar situation.

I once went on a 'club' Mark Warner solo week and there was a single mum there - most solos were single adults but the set up seemed to work quite well for her.
