Care package for new Mum

My best friend has recently had a baby and has had a really awful time of it.

I want to put together a care package for her. I know a few things I'm going to put in but would welcome any ideas for items to include?

slippers, coffee sachets (nice ones), lip balm, bath salts, a microwave lavender pouch. I’d have loved any of those after having my child.

Maybe off to watch baby while she has a nice relaxing bath if she's a single mum x

Thank you - will definitely get slippers and lip balms now. I've already got her favourite pods for her coffee machine and she's not having baths atm. Is the lavender pouch for aches/pains?

Not really practical at the moment unfortunately but I've already said that once things are better I will do that. I would happily go over and do that now but baby just screams unless on her. So don't think it would really work 😕
She has a partner but he is back at work now.

Body lotion. Something to deal with stretch marks. Hand cream. Chocolates.

Not sure how long after she has given birth or if she had a vaginal delivery... I swore by spritz your bitz soothing spray for after childbirth! Best present I was given... oh and food!
I like to gift a full easy cook meal. Something simple if you want to home cook like a chilli or spag Bol, with all the extras popped in a bag. Or if I'm short of time, a posh pizza, easy to throw in the oven wedges and a ready made salad.

Also snacks snacks and more snacks. A nice travel cup to help keep her hot drinks warm whilst she is busy.

I may be in the minority but I didn't care much for smellies or creams after giving birth. They are lovely though but if heavily scented I didn't like around the baby in the very early days (that sounds crazy I know!)
