Car was making a clunky noise when braking this morning but then has stopped. My googling suggested it was brake pads so because the noise stopped I figured i would ring garage instead of driving it straight there.
Haven't rung garage yet and then tonight there is a strong burning rubber smell.
I am wondering if I can drive it the 15 miles to the town I work in where i usually take it or if I need to find another garage - nearest is about 5 miles but I don't know any of them and will also then have to book annual leave to sort it, and can't get kids to holiday club.
Does anyone know how far I can drive it at this point?
