Things you value more since having children

For me:

Routine of a steady bedtime, a nice dinner & pudding at the end of the day, a tidy (ish) house and the ability to tuck myself in my bed at 8.30 if I wish!!! Heaven. I appreciate these simple but massively important things so so much now I’ve had to work hard to establish them and maintain them

Time to myself

A big one for me is my health, realising that someone is dependant on me really made me look after myself more. I value life more and would like to stick around to see my dc grow up. (I was a smoker before I found out I was pregnant, didn't exercise, had a cest la vie mentality)

Time and space to myself.
Both are a rarity.

Sitting in a coffee shop, reading my phone, and drinking a coffee.

Going on holiday and pleasing myself. I went to an overseas wedding last year, and spent the days before the wedding having a lie in, swimming, reading my book and eating lunch by myself. It was bliss.

an odd answer compared to the rest but after losing our son our daughter was much wanted and we love every minute of having her in our lives.

oh and laying in bed all day 😂
