Picked up takeaway food at the weekend, the restaurant has a fish tank with 6 fish, 3 of them large ones, in a tank that is too small and has nowhere for the fish to hide. The larger fish were swimming frantically back and forth, up and down and looked distressed. Is there anywhere I can report this? Would RSPCA be interested? I would like someone to visit and tell the restaurant to either get a bigger tank with plants/log etc or re home the fish. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so where I would report?

No they are for decoration not to be eaten!

You can report to the RSPCA but from what I’ve read on here over the years I don’t think they’d be in the least bit interested.

The rspca won’t care about some fish and are you sure they weren’t for eating

Why don't you speak to the manager? It doesn't need to be confrontational; maybe they don't know the existing tank isn't suitable.

RSPCA won’t care. Last year I found 4 week old kittens they didn’t care at all, I phoned multiple rescues nobody cared and I had to just leave them in my garden as nobody would come to get them

Poor fish.

i had to spend 2 nights in a camping chair to scare away foxes as I couldn’t get them inside. The mum kept leaving them for hours and hours just in the garden and then I had to get a friend with cats to catch them and take to a vet
