Migrating to Universal Credit question

I've had a letter to say I'll be migrating from tax credits to UC In October. The change from weekly payment to monthly will be an adjustment, so I'm wondering if I can make it easier by somehow timing it so that the Universal Credit is paid a couple of weeks before my salary is paid in.

Has anyone managed to do that and did it work out ok?

A disregard of capital over 16k, for a 12 month period?
Also, is it true they want bank statements too?
Anyone had these requested?

So is it savings over £16k or savings & capital? ie if you have any capital/equity in a house does that mean zero UC after that first 12 months?

Either, however a house you live in as your sole residence is disregarded indefinitely.

@Dragonfly don't mean to sound rude but are you sure re house? That would make all the difference 🤞

A house that you live in is not regarded as capital/ equity. If you owned a second property or you don't live in the house then it would be classed as capital.

Yes your house that you live in is disregarded. (Ignored)
