Ideas for a few days away between Christmas and New Yeat

I would like to take my two children (12 and 6) away for a few days between Christmas and New Year.

I’m thinking a city break- we live in a rural coastal location and I would like a complete change of scene. I will have a max budget of £500.

They’ve never been to London but I’m not sure I could do it within budget.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Oo I would love to go to the coast at that time of year - fancy a house swap haha! Not sure I could offer much in my Midlands location though
