Nappies 🙈

Hi girls,
my twin boys are 5 months now. They were sleeping through the night but between sleep regression and teething there’s not a lot of that happening anymore 😂 but when they did start sleeping through I stopped changing their nappies overnight, I still don’t even though they are waking for a feed again because I found they were just wide awake and looking for a chat at 3am 🙈
during the day we use Aldi nappies and find them great but there’s no way they’d do overnight, I’m using the rascal and friends tesco nappies overnight and they have started wetting through them too. When they wake in the morning the tummy of their vests is wet 🤦‍♀️
what do other mums use? There has to be a nappy that will actually last all night??

I find if my little ones starts wetting through the nappy that I’m needing to adjust the size of it. Have you tried moving to the next size up?

I also like aldi nappies for during the day but thought they were rubbish at night . I used boots own brand and actually quite liked them. My little one has moved onto the biggest size now so I find I need to order them online. I forgot one day and bought sainsburys own nappies and they have been a great alternative. Also worked out cheaper for a bulk buy.

I switched to pampers baby dry just for night. Havent had wet sheets/bodysuits since

They are in a size three in the tesco ones and they seem big? Like you could pull them up under their armpits 😂 but maybe they are too small? First time mum so I’ve no idea what I’m actually doing just sort of winging it 🙈

I was reluctant to use pampers because of the price but just for night wouldn’t be too bad 🙈 do you use the normal size? One of my friends said she sizes up with them?

They are pricey, but Bambo bamboo nappies always lasted all night.we only used them at night. I only ever found them online.

Hi @Kaxford
Try putting two nappies on, the first one not so secure and the second one kind of holds everything together. Really does help! x

We used Pampers Premium Protection at night as regularly had leaks in the night before that. Still using them overnight now that DD is almost 3. I really recommend them even when the nappies were super full once DD starting sleeping through we never changed her at night.

This.

One thing I found helped was for night time I bought the next size up vests as when he was getting towards changing up a clothes size, the pressure of the tighter vest was pushing on them. Then I discovered vest popper extenders on amazon, which was cheaper than buying size up for nights. Might be worth checking that too 🙂

When my DS started wetting through I used some washable bamboo nappy liners inside the disposable nappies. They were great, and meant I didn't need to wash his bedding every day!

olderthanyouthink · 28/08/2023 16:03

I find nappies so subjective like this, someone will swear by a nappy but my kid has managed to pee through a doubled one (we use cloth nappies, very easy to tell how wet it got).

ZooMount · 28/08/2023 16:43

I've got 4 children and have all used manner of nappies and the only ones I will use at night are pampers baby dry. I don't size up or anything.

Pampers night

randomusernam · 28/08/2023 19:00

Get a tenner lady, and fold it in half using the sticky side to keep it together and put it in the front of the nappy. I use the Lidl ones as much better than aldi and I also use Lidl nappies. Much cheaper than some of the overnight ones and works a treat.

My first born was fine overnight with the Aldi nappies. Second born wasn't she kept leaking. Must be different shape or something lol. I used Aldi nappies during the day and pampers only at night for her (unless they were on special lol).
