Please can someone share a healthy eating plan with me. I am nearly 17 stone and just keep piling on the weight. I don’t know where to start. I want to do calorie counting but don’t know what to eat!!

It depends what you like to eat and also how your body responds to certain foods

Personally I try to keep my carbs under 70-100g a day, so that would be considered lower carb

So breakfast might be a cheese omelette, with 20g of low fat cheese, or some ryvitas with cottage cheese, or overnight oats with apple and peanut butter

Snacks of nuts or prunes or figs in the day. You might want to try some dip like guacamole or hummous with some carrots or cauliflower

Lunch, salad with protein, either chicken, fish, tofu etc

Dinner could be a number of meals that you batch cook for yourself, chillis, ragus, lentils, curries etc etc

You have to work out what you will be happy eating. Try to focus on what you must include rather than what you want to remove, so eat 5 colours of fruit and veg a day for example

Download a calorie counting app like my fitness pal
Buy a set of food scales
Start logging everything you already eat and drink
Start reducing the portion size of everything carbohydrate
Start increasing the portion size of everything vegetable.
Stop eating bread.
Do the above for a week
Start eating to the calorie allowance they give you with food that works for you

The best diet is the food you chose for yourself

I have a bad gallbladder. Which has led me to only eat food that is 3% fat or under. I have lost a ton of weight. There are lots of things out there including crisps etc that are just under 3% fat. I do have the pain factor to keep me in check. But since doing this I no longer feel tired or hungry.
