Me and my children spend years in temporary accommodation. My 7 and 8 year old had never had a proper bedroom or space to play. So toys have always cluttered the living room and all their play was done in living room. We have now lived in our permanent house for around 18 months. They have a lovely bedroom. But they still have most of their toys in the living room. I was thinking about moving all toys to their room but I feel a bit guilty like I'm shoving them out

Can you keep the toys in those ikea boxes so they can carry them to the living room if they want to play there and then they go back when they’re done? Not storing toys in the living room doesn’t have to mean they’re never allowed to play there.
