Bed bugs or fleas?

My son has these bites all over his ankles and a few on his wrists but not as big or sore, do they look like bed bugs or fleas? We don't have pets but have just moved into a house that previously had a cat, so I'm thinking probably fleas, especially as they are mostly around the ankles. What's the best way to get rid of them? Be grateful for any advice as have no experience with this!

I’d say fleas.
You need to treat all carpets/ soft furnishings and will likely need to treat again once any eggs then hatch.

You can get flea bombs that you can set off in your house or you can sprinkle flea powder everywhere, go out for a few hours then vacuum it up.

I lived in a student house that had fleas once, I was bitten to death. So itchy!

Thank you, that was my thought, I'll get some powder and hopefully that will work.

Fleas and use Indorex, it’s brilliant. You’ll need to be disciplined with the hoovering too and make sure you empty the hoover every time.

Fleas.

cat no longer present so fleas move on to humans.
