Just a small example from recently…
On a walk a few days ago I’m having a conversation with dh and the subject of natural sleep patterns comes up and we talk about cycles within lives and the world. I mention that even plants have a natural 24hr cycle, it’s called something but I can’t remember the name. I say to him that I have a book at home where I read about it. I’ll look it up when we’re back…. At no point does he tell me the name, but understands the process too.
Naturally we forget the convo, I forget to look it up.
This morning, Julia Bradbury is on the radio… She mentions the circadian rhythm… which is the term I couldn’t remember. I call to dh all excited that is suddenly remembered the convo and now the term. His response is yeah, I knew that! And gives me a look like I’m unreasonable for thinking he wouldn’t!
So I’m like… well why didn’t you mention it the other day?! Obviously knowing he couldn’t remember too. But he just says I don’t know!
Now it sounds so stupid working this one down as it’s such a small one, but it’s just an example of how he makes you to know everything, but actually doesn’t. Then it makes me feel stupid!
