Getting through the day when wrecked with lack of sleep - any tips?

Not small child or alcohol related , or even change of time zone . But feels the same.
Coffee makes me wired , the siren calls of sugar are strong but false. Not to mention fattening.
What helps?

It depends what you have to do today. Make it the bare minimum.

I just keep moving! We have an 8month old who thinks sleep is for the weak. I'm good as long as I don't sit because then I don't get moving again! Little snacks instead of big meals that run the risk of food coma but will keep your blood sugars fairly level
