Is it normal for your parents never to ask you anything about your life? Mine don't know anything about me, .my friends, my job, my home, anything. They have never visited me. I have to drive 3 hours to see them and its like talking to distant relatives. During covid they never once asked me if I was ok, I was working on covid ward, I rang regularly to ask how they were.
It just seems wrong somehow. They don't hug or kiss either.
