We have never had an insect problem before so I’m not sure what to do!! I noticed some small flies coming in through the windows, so have kept the windows shut for around 2 weeks.
in this time, flies have still been present which is making me feel icky!
They’re small flies, black/brown/red. It’s not a large amount of them, when the lights turn on or off you may see 1 stirring. I have never seen more than 1 at a time. Weirdly, the most common place I find them is on my windowsill where they’re usually dead, I then clean the windowsill. Have attached a photo. On around 10 out of the last 14 days, a new dead fly is on my windowsill. What could be causing this?
I did have some plants on this windowsill, wondering if the flies were in there? Do I need to do something to treat the soil of the remaining plants?
