1 bedroom place, when do I move out the bedroom and let DD have it to herself?

Hi I'm renting a 1 bed place atm and DD is 3. She is still with me in the bedroom of course and the plan is to give her the room and I can have the living room as a bedroom for me as well, its plenty big enough to act a studio type set up! What age would you say DD should get the room? I tend to stay in the living room until I'm going to sleep anyway so I think maybe sooner rather than later might work for us both better.

How long term is the arrangement for renting this property?

I'd be honestly inclined to have a bed for each of you in the bedroom. Realistically I'd you make the space into a second bedroom are you going to want friends, hers or yours, round if the living room space is actually your bedroom?

My friend and her daughter shared the bedroom- separate beds - in a one-bed flat - until the daughter was about nine, and they moved house.

I think I also would just share bedroom forever. Keep beds and clothing in bedroom.
Area in living room you were planning to put bed can then be a nice play area whilst young, then desk area or extra seating when older.

You can arrange beds in bedroom to create some privacy and separate later of needed using things like ikea kallax units. But I wouldn’t worry until 6-8 years.

My Ds is 3 years. He has own bedroom. He never ever plays in it yet, and only wants to go to sleep in my bed. I move him once asleep, and he returns during the night back..
