Does anyone have a Kenwood K-mix?

Just got one and the metal K attachment doesn't seem to get the sides very well.

Have moved the nut down lower than how it arrived which is a little improvement but I'm still having to stop and spatula the sides every few mins.

Is that just how it is with a mixer?

Don't want to move it down anymore as the bowl is glass!

And please don't tell me to get a kitchen aid! This is already a luxury purchase for me, I could not spend double!

Yes this happens, it's better with some things than others. I recommend getting the flexible beater attachment which is like the beater you have but with spatula edges so it scrapes as it mixes.

I only have a flexible beater and a whisk. That's all you need! Flexible beater is a game changer.

Whyishewearingasombero · 25/08/2023 17:03

It's a brilliant little machine. I bought mine pre-loved and it's still going strong.

You definitely need to use the flexible beater. I've never used the plain metal K.

YakChewCrumbs · 25/08/2023 17:20

Yes, the flexible one is best. Mine is 20 years old and still going strong. I chose it over a kitchen aid and don't regret it!

Yes with the k you have to stop and spatula.

IsisoftheWalbrook · 25/08/2023 20:39

I chose mine over a Kitchenaid and it is brilliant. I wasn't concerned about looks, but was more interested in the motor.

I didn't realise you could buy the spatula.

How annoying that they don't just include that instead of the K!

Thankyou!
