I have a beautiful Canadian friend who lives here in the UK. I'd love to make her a big gift basket of lovely Canadian treats, thinking of sweets/crisps/drinks etc but have not a clue where to start!

Would love recommendations of things to include! (I've found a few online shops that deliver to the UK)

Oooh! Some ideas

Root beer (A&W or Barq's).

Cinnamon chewing gum

Kraft dinner

Grape flavoured sweets (Mike and Ikes, Jolly Ranchers)

Anything Tim Hortons related (coffee or a mug)

Also

All-dressed chips (crisps) or ranch or dill flavour crisps

Are you a baker? Could you home make some butter tarts or nanaimo bars?

Hawkins cheezies (spelling?). Proper expensive maple syrup. Cheese curds (maybe if you can find them) for poutine. Ice wine if you're fancy.

Disclaimer: only lived there.

Goldfish biscuits (I've seen the cheese kind for sale in London this year, if at extortionate prices, but turns out they come in other flavours too).

Chunks or Chips Ahoy.

Orange Pekoe tea.

My DP is Canadian and I lived there. He says proper maple syrup (the huge Kirkland one from Costco is in literally every Canadian fridge I've ever seen), ketchup flavour crisps, Cheezies, Kraft mac and cheese (the President's Choice white cheddar one from Real Canadian Superstore is the best but can't get that here), everything bagels and/or everything bagel seasoning, a Coffee Crisp bar, peanut butter M&Ms, dill relish, Crush grape soda.

Canadian butter tarts- not sure where you’d find them in the UK but now I’ve remembered them I really want one!
