What books should I take on holiday

Can anyone please recommend a couple of seriously good books to take on holiday?
I like dark, quirky mysteries and thrillers. Something with a good twist.
I like Douglas Kennedy, Dean Koontz, Stephen King.

I haven't read in ages as I have destroyed by attention span with social media use 😂 so I need something really gripping!

I really enjoyed Goodnight Beautiful by Aimee Molloy. And if you haven't read it, The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle.
