So the governing body has opened disciplinary proceedings against Spanish football federation president Luis Rubiales for his behaviour at Women's World Cup final. Good. His behaviour was shocking towards the women's football team when they won. How dare he kiss them on the lips! Gross.

Thank you for posting Op. Was watching the final with a pal and we both commented how hands on he was being and werent sure if he was already super friendly with the Spanish team and/ or if it was just the more tactile culture at play. But watching it back it feels creepy and taking advantage of his position.
His behaviour at the conference appeared very entitled.
I would absolutely go with the players views against his in this case.
It is very telling the women have gone on strike.
How amazing they won in spite of what they appear to be up against with the manager and all....

I was reading this morning that the guy's Mother has locked herself in her local church and is on hunger strike due to how her son is being treated!! I think the Mother should concern herself more about the fact that her son believes he had every right to treat Jenni the way he did and thinks he can get away with it and continue to act like this.

People wonder why women don't report men when they do these kind of things [held her head forcibly and kissed her lips], or similar things like a tap on the bum or a hand that goes too high/low for comfort because we just know we won't be heard or supported. It was on live TV for Christ sake! And STILL Jenni has been accused of lying!!
