Have you always had a vocational calling?

Did you always know what you would like to do professionally and pursued it from young age or have you drifted into your current situation?

I have drifted into a decently paid job but always admired my DF who has been single minded in her career.

Nope, I used to want to be a cow farmer, then my grandfather told me I was going to be an accountant like him in my early teens, I decided I wanted to be an actress just to piss him off. I got told by my grandad that I had to go to university when I finished school so I chose a random degree off of a list he approved of and studied nursing. Almost two decades later I’m still at it - I wish I’d studied medicine now though!

From around 15/16 I knew I wanted to be a nurse. I can’t imagine doing any other job than helping people as I do.
