Have you ever made a grown man blush

Just this really. I am wondering if I sometimes make men uncomfortable although I don’t intend to! I am happily married and although I am quite chatty I wouldn’t say I’m a wild flirt or anything.

I’ve noticed since my late twenties and in to my thirties that sometimes men go red when I talk to them or we make eye contact! I have honestly never seen men blush like this before as a teen/early twenty-something and arguably more attractive woman. It happened to me this week on holiday the hotel owner blushed when we made eye contact or if I asked him about something straightforward. I’ve had it with a tradesman working in my house and whenever he’s been back or I’ve seen him since this flush of red just shoots over his cheeks when we look at each other. It also happened in the office recently an older professional man who I’ve seen loads before walked in and I was the only person still at work and he flushed red then walked straight through! Am I doing something to scare them 🙈

It has made me a bit paranoid that I am coming across as intimidating, like as I’m ageing am I taking on a matronly air 😅 The men it’s happened with have been my age or older. So proper men.

Please tell me it’s not just me! Have you ever made a grown man blush without meaning to? (Ie flashing him or something 😂) I do not think it is because I am irresistible or a Margot Robbie lookalike I really am quite a plain Jane 😆

I feel like this will come across as braggy it’s really not I am just a tad disconcerted. And I’d be embarrassed saying this to one of my friends!

I’ve made grown men blush…but that’s because I have no filter and give absolutely zero fucks. Nothing to do with my stunning looks, charismatic personality or fascinating conversational skills. So sadly no advice to help from
me.

My dh, all the time, it's adorable

No advice, but thinking you should talk to the woman on the other thread who wants men to chat her up left, right and centre!😅

I’ve not seen that thread! But I don’t think I’d be of much help they seem scared of me more than anything 😆

That is lovely! I don’t think I’ve ever made my DH blush but we’ve known each other pretty much our whole lives.

I don’t think you’re as plain as you think you are.

I wonder if that’s what’s changed as I’ve gotten older I really don’t feel as intimidated by men like I used to.

Yes. Very good looking colleague. Adorable really.

KimberleyClark · 24/08/2023 22:23

Actually I didn’t make him blush, I saw him blush and it was endearing.

Mmhmmn · 24/08/2023 22:30

Used to be that it was me who blushed (early 20s) . An older male colleague loved it, he obviously thought I fancied him. He was a slime ball.
In other workplaces I've also seen a a v. attractive guy blush while we were in conversation and (separately) saw a female colleague blush when introduced to him 😂 🤣
When it's you blushing it's mortifying, when it's someone else it's hilarious 🤭

Same here. There was a redheaded guy at my old workplace who blushed when I spoke!

Tanith · 24/08/2023 23:06

Someone I used to work with. Older than me, masculine, male banter, I'm sure we all know the type!

I was quiet and shy and I hadn't been married for long. He asked jovially - and publicly! - when I'd be going on maternity leave.
I told him I'd have to consummate the marriage first and he blushed a very deep crimson. I almost felt sorry for him Grin

Only the very young policeman who got his foot caught in my bra when our flat was burgled and trashed.

Poor boy. It was the only good bit of that night.

Perhaps you're just meeting more shy men now?
