Anyone got experience with buying dogs meds online?

Have an ongoing prescription of Gabapentin for our dog and currently paying £28 per month for it, and from looking around this seems a bit steep. I've heard some people say that you can just take the prescription from the vets and buy them online, does anyone know any reputable places you can do this?

Yes, I used ‘pet drugs online’.

You make an account, upload your prescription and order what you need. Arrived a few days later in the post. Very easy.

Pet drugs online or viovet

I've use Animed before, the drugs will be cheaper, but your vet will still charge for the prescription so it might not end up being massively cheaper - find out how much your vet charges and how many months you can get per prescription

I use viovet - the 'how to' details are here

Another vote for "Petdrugsonline ", haven't used them for medication, but used them for 10 years for prescription dog food - vet price £70, Petdrugsonline price, £53, per month.

Most human pharmacies will dispense vet prescriptions definitely cheaper than your vets own. Just see how much your vet will charge just to write the script rather than also dispense.

I pay £25 for a paper prescription (gone up a lot this year) and buy Metacam online. They prescribe me a 180ml bottle which lasts us about 3 months and I pay £25.28 delivered from VetUK. Saves me a fortune.

They used to give me a prescription for two repeats, but not this time - I need to ask for that again as it would save me more money.

Dog has to be seen every 6mths for a review but we don't pay for that as we do it on her annual jabs appointment and the I do her annual check up 6mths later (the vet health club).
