My 9 year old was taken into hospital for suspect appendicitis amd has just gone into theatre. I'm sat in a toilet crying my eyes out. He was so scared and was crying as he fell asleep

Ah he will be fine my love, they will take the best care of him throughout. And once he's through the surgery he will start to feel a lot better than he will have been feeling recently!

I've been there myself, and now at least I never need worry about him getting appendicitis again

Hope he's back on the ward with you soon

It’s horrible watching your child go into surgery but he will be absolutely fine and sitting up in bed eating toast before you know it.

I’ve had appendicitis and the relief from the pain after having it removed was blissful.

Thanks all. He's out now. Dozey and sleepy but thankfully we caught it before it got bad
