Hull - Rotterdam ferry

Has anybody done this recently? How long do I need to allow for passport control? I kept hearing scary tales of queue hours long for the Kent ports, but nothing for the east coast. TIA.

I don't know if you've already been now but we got back from the Netherlands a couple of days ago. We arrived at Hull just after 4 and got straight through passport control and onto the boat. We did have a long queue when we disembarked in Rotterdam and it took us about 1.5 hrs from leaving the boat and getting through passport control. On the way home got to Europoort at about 4.45 and got through passport control and onto boat really quickly. On arrival in Hull is was more quicker than arrival in Rotterdam, 30 minutes from getting into the car on the ship to getting through passport control.
