First passport what certification do I need.

Looked on Google but still not sure

It's not my first passport but more than 5 years out if date and can't for the life of me remember what I sent last time.

To complicate matters all my certificates got lost in a move so will need to send for new ones.

I have ordered Birth certificate as I know I need that and it's from Scotland, while I have married twice in England.

Do I need both marriage certificates or just the last one?

What about divorce records?

If I need divorce ones where do I get them from?

You'll need to track your name changes, if you did that (a clear path from your birth surname to whichever one you use now). If you reverted on divorce you might (I don't know what divorce certification says) need a Change of Name Deed (easy and free to do yourself but needs to be done properly, signed in both full names and witnessed) and Name In Use evidence.

If you want any difference in your name between the new passport and your old one or your birth certificate, you'll need to be able to track that even if you've just dropped a middle name you never used, or added/omitted a hyphen. (Again, Change of Name Deed and NIU evidence if you can't track it.)

When were you born? If it was 1983 onwards you'll need a parent's birth certificate to show they were born in the UK.

You'll need your old passport (and if it's damaged in any way you'll need to explain why).
