"Payment" for changing a tap

I live alone. I have a friend, we dabbled a bit romantically, but have decided we're better as friends and we are good friends, we see each other socially probably every three weeks or so.

He keeps offering to help me with DIY. Mostly I don't need help or for bigger jobs, prefer to employ a tradesman where there'll be some comeback, but I have a dripping tap. A straightforward job for him, I think. I'm tempted to let him help.

I don't think he'll want cash, is this buy the beers next time we're out or maybe cook dinner when he's done, or do I need to do something else?

Employ a tradesman, you’ve already said you prefer to.

Buy the beers, make dinner, give him a bix of beer.
All sound reasonable. Your right - changing a tap washer isn't a big job.
