High profile/life sentence prisoners

Ive wondered this before but have thought about it more so this week in the aftermath of the LL verdict.
Do life sentence prisoners have the same routines/privileges as say prisoners who are doing maybe a short sentence for something like low level fraud or theft? What is their day like? Do they spend more time isolated due to the nature of their sentence/crimes or is that not taken into account and they are ‘just another prisoner’?

I know that prisoners can earn privileges and have time to socialise with other prisoners, but is this the same regardless of sentence?

So many variables

They are more likely to be settled and well behaved though.

They have all the privileges any other prisoner does. If they behave

Yes but they will be kept on isolation if there is a threat to their safety

Prison isn't made harsher for more serious crimes. People in prison for serious violent crime are at heightened risk of suicide, especially just after sentencing. So they might be a but restricted to manage that risk. People on long sentences will often be allocated to a jail that is specifically for long termers and those tend to be on the calmer side. One of the big considerations in managing life sentence prisoners is keeping them in decent mental health. The punishment is loss of liberty, not being treated badly.
