DH died a couple of years ago after a long illness. It was awful for him and awful for me. I spent so many hours and days advocating for him with doctors and the care system. At times his care was awful, even with me fighting continuously. It really was a full time job for me. Then he came home to die and that was a full time job for me too.
At the time, I just did what was needed and was glad to, but it scares me to death that there's no one likely to be able to do that for me.
I've got some money, I can pay for care, but the advocating, who will do that? How can I arrange for "someone" to do that?
