Paris tips please!

Very excited to be going to Paris next year. If you’ve been recently I’d love your tips on using the Metro, sightseeing etc. We’re going for a few days in Easter and are keen to do Eiffel Tower and the Louvre plus anything else you’d recommend.

Eiffel tower is always busy and the queue can be long. They release prebooking tickets I think it's a month in advance at 11pm our time. We got those for the lift up both stages which made things easier for us.

Louvre, again, prebooking will save a lot of hassle.

Montmartre is lovely to have a walk around bit the restaurants up there are expensive.

the metro is great, you can buy sets of single tickets which work out not too bad, however, everything in Paris is seriously spread out. For 6 of us it was cheaper and easier to use uber to get from Montmartre to the Eiffel tower. It took an hour on 2 tubes otherwise.

if you do the arc do triomphe then don't try and run across the roundabout, there is a subway.

Musee d"Orsay and Musee Marmatton are worth a visit.
